What amenities does our hostel sport?
We love animals, but unfortunately loads of folks are allergic so leave your animals at home. We are not legally obligated to host your service animals because we are not required to be ADA compliant.
It seems like you have availability...why can't I book?
The most common error on our booking software is that we have minimum stay, which is at 2-3 nights. This is because of the intention we have at Travelers' House on building relationships and community.
Are you ADA accessible?
Unfortunately, we are not ADA accessible. However, if you are still interested in our space we will try to ensure your accessibility is as seamless as possible. There are stairs on the every entry and exit points to Travelers' House.
Do you have Internet?
We have free WiFi throughout the entire hostel and a guest computer that is free for our guests to use at any time.
What time can I check in?
Anytime between 8am-12am. If you’re arriving earlier or later than that window please contact us.
What time to I have to check out?
Check out is everyday at 11am.
What's the story with breakfast?
Breakfast is provided - simple make them yourself pancakes and oatmeal. We also provide coffee, Stash Tea, and a self-service kitchen for all your cooking desire. Not to mention the myriad of amazing walkable breakfast & brunch options.
If I'm driving is there parking available Yes, we have FREE off street parking.
Does Travelers' House have food and activities nearby? Yes, there are numerous cafes, pubs, and local music venues around.
Are there additional fees or taxes? Yes, the city of Portland charges lodging tax of 15.3%, which are not included in the price of your room.
I have a problem with an existing reservation, what do I do?
If you have a problem with your existing reservation or need to cancel, please email us using the email that we have on file, and we will be happy to help.
What credit cards to you accept? We accept Visa, MC, Discover, Apple Pay, Google Pay, and most international cards as well.
What's the trick with traveling by bus to get out of Portland?
The Greyhound station is located in downtown Portland. For rate and schedule information contact Greyhound atwww.greyhound.com or call (503)243-2361, toll free at (800)231-2222. If you're coming to Portland from Seattle, check out Bolt Bus, Greyhound service that offers cheap trips between the two cities -- and will take your bike!
