Here are the measures we’re taking to provide a safe and healthy hostel:
- Hand sanitizer is available at reception.
- We are using the most effective commercial grade Purell disinfectant spray on all frequently touched surfaces multiple times a day. This spray is rated effective for COVID-19.
- If you find a wet door handle, door touchscreen, etc. know that this is our staff following our disinfectant protocols per the manufacturer instructions.
- We replace our bathroom hand towels and kitchen towels multiple times a day. However, if you find that one is needing replacement sooner please notify staff.
Additionally, we ask that all guest consider the following suggestions:
- We recommend all of our travelers get travel insurance to cover medical expenses and cancellations - the USA does not have socialized health care.
- Please wash your hands or use or hand sanitizer when returning to the hostel.
- If you have a cough, runny nose, and/or a fever please tell hostel staff. We will kindly help you find more suitable accommodation arrangements (like a private room) and access health care in Oregon.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue (instead of your elbow, arm, or hand), and then immediately dispose of it in our wastebaskets and wash hands. Hostel staff will politely remind you to do this if necessary.
- Please wash your hands frequently.
